First Financial Bank Opens New Columbus Banking Center, Office Complex
March 28, 2012
COLUMBUS, In. – March 28, 2012 – Local community leaders, residents and First Financial associates gathered today to celebrate the opening of the new banking center and office complex located at 125 Third Street.
The new 21,000-square-foot banking center and office complex, located on the corner of Third and Brown streets, demonstrates First Financial’s commitment to the Columbus area in a high-traffic location.
“This new regional hub and office complex is very important to us and we appreciate the support we’ve received from residents, businesses and leaders in Columbus,” said Claude Davis, president and CEO of First Financial Bank. “We’re equally excited to bring growth and new development to downtown Columbus and to celebrate today’s grand opening with our friends, neighbors and First Financial family.”
In October 2010, First Financial announced the sale of its facilities at Fifth and Washington Streets to Cummins, Inc. “We were very pleased to work with Cummins on the sale of our Washington Street properties, knowing that this space would allow them to continue growing in Columbus,” said Davis. “It also gave us the opportunity to build a fresh, new prototype banking facility that enhances service for our clients with convenient parking and access to client service teams from our retail, commercial and wealth business lines in the same location.”
At the new banking center, clients will find a full complement of diverse financial services. In addition to three drive-thru lanes, the banking center will also have a drive-up image deposit ATM. First Financial image deposit ATMs feature envelope-free deposits, deposit images on client receipts and more.
Jonas Howell will continue to serve as the Downtown Columbus banking center manager, and the familiar local team of associates will help clients at the new location. The banking center and office complex was built using the bank’s new prototype design, which includes visual merchandising as well as engaging retail graphics to “take the client on a journey” that will remind them of defining moments of success in their lives.
