First Financial Bank Announces Plans to Build New Banking Center in Celina

February 26, 2013

Celina, OH – First Financial Bank continues its long-term commitment to the community and announces plans to build a state-of-the-art prototype banking center in Celina.  The banking center will be located at the Harbor Square retail center.

“Since 1863, we’ve delivered high-quality financial services and solutions to clients,” said Kevin Langford, First Financial’s executive vice president and chief administrative officer. “We’re proud to continue our commitment to and investment in Celina and look forward to being a part of the community for years to come.”

First Financial is working closely with the City of Celina to discuss plans for First Financial’s office located at 225 Main Street. Since the location is centrally-located and directly across the street from city hall, the city is considering purchasing the building to bring key departments together at one location and provide expanded space for police and fire departments without the major costs associated with new construction or renovation of an existing building.

“The city is pleased that First Financial is committed to staying and investing in our community, and we are excited to explore how this facility could more fully-serve the needs of Celina’s residents,” said Mayor Jeff Hazel.  “I believe acquiring the existing downtown First Financial Bank building to combine city offices would be an exceptional opportunity to further streamline the services we provide the community.”

First Financial’s new banking center will be the first in Celina to be built using First Financial’s award-winning prototype design. The open and accessible interior includes visual merchandising as well as engaging retail graphics to “take the client on a journey” that will remind them of defining moments of success in their lives.

Clients will find a full complement of retail, commercial lending, and wealth management services as well as teller and ATM drive-thru service at the new facility. The new building will also incorporate several elements that reflect the company’s commitment to sustainability, including energy-efficient building materials, lighting controls, solar powered efficiencies and others.

Construction is expected to begin in early summer. Once the new banking center is complete, First Financial will consolidate banking services into the new location and the Summit banking center located at 115 West Summit Street.
