Multiple locations of First Financial Bank in the Cincinnati area served as collection points this year in gathering back-to-school items for the local Crayons to Computers organization.
Crayons to Computers has always been driven to bridge the gap between families in need and education. They have successfully distributed more than $163 million worth of free school supplies via their partnerships with sponsoring companies and organizations. When students have the necessary tools to achieve, the possibilities are endless. 78% have an increased interest in learning, 92% have increased class preparedness and 82% have increased class participation.
Items Crayons to Computers received include crayons, pencils, notebooks, glue sticks, educational tools for the classroom and much more. In addition to the Back to School drive, First Financial has enjoyed assisting Crayons to Computers with other events such as the “Are you Smarter” fundraiser, the Crayon Challenge event and more.
The Bank is a large supporter of financial education in all of the communities it serves through various offerings and employee volunteer efforts. Dedicated to serving the community, First Financial knows the importance of children obtaining the skills they need to develop a strong foundation for life-long financial competency and is proud to support local initiatives.
