Q: Where can I use my BackPocket card?
A: You can use your BackPocket card to make purchases anywhere that Visa® is accepted. You also may use your card at any Visa® or PLUS® ATM by entering your personal identification number (P.I.N.). Q: Will my personalized BackPocket account number be the same as my instant issue BackPocket account number?
A: When you open a BackPocket account a temporary instant issue card is provided to you. You will later receive a personalized card in the mail. The personalized card will have a different account number. When you receive your personalized card and activate it the instant issue card will no longer work. Therefore, do not set up any recurring payments using your temporary instant issue BackPocket card.
Q: Is there a minimum balance required for my BackPocket card?
A: No. There is not a minimum amount required to open a BackPocket card; once opened, it may be withdrawn to a zero ($0.00) balance.
Q: What is the maximum dollar amount I can withdraw from ATMs or Point of Sale terminals?
A: The lesser of $500.00 or your card balance. Some ATMs may have lower limits.
Q: What is the maximum dollar amount I can transact at a merchant?
A: The total balance that is loaded on your card.
Q: Are there limits on the amount I load on my card?
A: Your initial card load must be between $0.00 and $2,500. The minimum subsequent fund load must be at least $.01 and may not exceed $2,500. The total balance on your card may not exceed $10,000. [REV 01/26/15 ]
Q: How do I load additional funds onto my BackPocket card?
A: You may add funds to your card at any First Financial Bank branch, First Financial Bank Smart ATM or Visa® ReadyLink location. Q: My BackPocket card includes dollars and cents. How can I get the full amount?
A: In addition to Visa® and ATM transactions you can also access your money by requesting cash back at point-of-sale debit terminals. To access balances to the penny you can request a specific amount to be charged to your card for a purchase and then pay the remainder with cash or check.
Q: Will I receive a monthly statement on my Card?
A: Yes. An electronic statement is available through the website at https://www.visaprepaidprocessing.com/FFB/GPR/Pages/Home.aspx. Simply sign in using your user ID and password. Paper statements are not available.
Q: Does my BackPocket card include an overdraft limit?
A: No. You should use your card to get cash or make purchases only up to the current balance in your Card. Transactions in excess of your balance usually will be denied. In the event your BackPocket card does overdraw, your card may be closed, and you will be responsible for the amount overdrawn.
Q: How do I apply for the BackPocket card?
A: BackPocket cards are available at all First Financial Bank branch locations. For a full list of First Financial Bank branches visit https://www.bankatfirst.com/locations.aspx .
Q: How do I activate my BackPocket card once I receive it?
A: Call 855-477-1158 or go to https://www.visaprepaidprocessing.com/FFB/GPR/Pages/Home.aspx and sign in.
Q: Will I receive checks to use on this Card?
A: No. This Card is intended for electronic transactions only.
Q: What dollar value is pre-authorized when I use “pay at the pump” gas pumps?
A: A $75.00 pre-authorization hold will be marked up against your available balance. A hold on any difference between $75.00 and the the amount of your purchase in will clear once that transaction is posted to your card. If the merchant does not participate in the partial authorization program your transaction may be denied if your balance is less than $75.00. In this instance you may pay inside the gas station for an amount available on the Card.
Q: What is my personal identification number (P.I.N.)?
A: You may establish a P.I.N. by calling 855-477-1158 or go to https://www.visaprepaidprocessing.com/FFB/GPR/Pages/Home.aspx and log in to your prepaid card. Your initial log in password is the CVV2 (three digit number from the signature panel of your card).
Q: Where can I go to change my personal identification number (P.I.N.) or address?

Q: Can I use my BackPocket card to pay for online gambling?
A: No. BackPocket cards may only be used for transactions that are legal.
Q: Can I use my BackPocket card to pay for purchases over the Internet?
A: Yes. Once your card is activated you may begin making purchases over the Internet
Q: Why do I have to register my card?
A: First Financial Bank requires you activate and register your card to protect your rights, if your BackPocket card is ever lost or stolen. By registering your card, it makes the process of refunding your money for unauthorized purchases easier. You will want to register your card and provide your address, if you wish to use your card for mail orders, telephone orders, or internet transactions.
Q: Does my BackPocket card affect my credit?
A: Generally, no. Just having a BackPocket card is not tied to your credit in any way. If your card balance becomes negative, however, appropriate collections actions may be pursued, which could impact your credit.
Q: What do I do if my BackPocket card is lost or stolen?
A: If your BackPocket card is lost or stolen, you can contact card services by calling 1-855-477-1158 to order a new card and to file a dispute for the purchases you did not authorize. You may also suspend your card by logging in to your BackPocket online access.
Q: My Instant Issue BackPocket card doesn't have my name on it. Can I really use it?
A: Yes. You can still use your card even though your name does not appear on the card. Your identity is verified by a retailer by checking your signature on the back of your card to ensure that it matches the signature on your sales draft. You will automatically receive a personalized card in 7-10 business days by activating your instant issue card.
Q: My BackPocket card doesn't have my name on it. Do I still sign my name when I make purchases?
A: Yes. Even if your BackPocket card says “BackPocket” instead of your name, you will still sign your name on the sales draft when you make purchases. Make sure you sign the back of your card, so that retailers can compare your signature to the one on the back of the card.
Q: What is the difference between a "pending transaction" and a "posted transaction?"
A: Pending transactions are authorized transactions, and a hold is placed for the purchase amount on your card. Posted transactions are purchases that have cleared on your card and the funds have been removed. There are some pending transactions that are more or less than the amount you have actually spent. This is because some retailers place a pre-authorization amount on your card for more or less than the total of the purchase.
Q: Why is my Available Balance different than my Actual Balance?
A: Typically, your Available Balance is less than your Actual Balance because your Available Balance reflects purchases you have made that have been authorized, but have not been charged to your card balance. However, there are some cases, such as when you have returned merchandise, where the Available Balance will be more than your Actual Balance. [REV 01/26/15 ]
Q: Do I have to have an e-mail address to use my Back Pocket card?
A: Your e-mail address is helpful if you ever forget your password on the website or if we need to send you other useful information requested by you. We can then send that information to the e-mail address we have on file.
Q: What if I have a remaining balance after the BackPocket card expires?
A: Your BackPocket card will automatically expire on the date listed on the front of the card. If your card is in a negative status and there has not been activity on the card within 30 days of the expiration date a new card will not be sent to you. You will need to contact us to resolve the negative balance. Otherwise, a new card will automatically be reissued and mailed to you at the current address on file.

Q: Can I set up direct deposit to my BackPocket Card?
A: Yes you can have money direct deposited to your BackPocket card. We assign a Bank Routing number (RTE) and a direct deposit account number (Account or DDA) to your BackPocket card. You can find the assigned number below the card on the instant issue card carrier or log in to your account at https://www.visaprepaidprocessing.com/FFB/GPR/Pages/Home.aspx. The direct deposit routing and account number is listed on the “Account Summary page”. Simply provide your employer with the direct deposit routing and account number.
