A success story since 1863

As one of the first banks to organize under the new National Bank Act with Charter No. 56, our bank opened in Hamilton, Ohio, as First National Bank of Hamilton on August 15, 1863. The office was located in a room at 239 High Street and served the community with the same strong commitment that we have today of putting our clients first and helping them achieve financial and life goals. 

After years of growth and expansion in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, the bank is rebranded with a new name, First Financial Bank. In addition to our new yellow logo, banking centers across our footprint were transformed into an enhanced client experience in an effort to help our clients learn more and succeed.

At the end of the third quarter 2015, First Financial hit a major milestone, 100 quarters, or 25 years, of consecutive profitability! Years later, our streak continues as we remain profitable. It’s because of our clients, associates, and community involvement and support that this is possible.
